Quang Binh - The province promotes digital transformation, bringing technology into life and economy, creating a foundation for sustainable development for all classes of people.

Foundation for economic development

On December 15, information from the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Binh said that it is implementing many practical solutions to bring digital transformation closer to the people, contributing to creating positive changes in life and socio-economic development in the locality.

The Department has actively coordinated with departments, branches, sectors and authorities at all levels to promote propaganda and disseminate awareness of digital transformation. On mass media such as radio, television, and electronic information pages, many specialized columns on digital transformation have been established, providing well-trained digital knowledge and skills for agencies, businesses and people.

In particular, community digital transformation teams have implemented the campaign "Going to every alley, knocking on every door, guiding each person to use services and applications to develop the digital economy" during the peak period from October 1-10, 2024.

Thanks to the synchronization and determination in propaganda, Quang Binh now has many people including officials, businesses, and workers trained in digital skills and using modern information technology platforms.

The Department of Information and Communications has focused on developing a synchronous digital infrastructure, ensuring that all central areas of communes, wards and towns have broadband fiber optic connections. Currently, 3G and 4G networks have covered 97.7% of residential areas, ensuring that people can access high-speed internet at home.

The provincial electronic data center was established to support 12 shared information platforms and systems, facilitating the synchronous operation of 18 specialized software systems. At the same time, the online video conferencing system connecting from the Central to 100% of the People's Committees at the commune level helps to increase the efficiency of management, operation and work resolution in the digital environment.

Bringing digital transformation to every citizen and business

One of the outstanding achievements of digital transformation in Quang Binh is the high rate of online records on the Public Service Portal at all three levels: 76.2% at the provincial level, 82% at the district level, and 91.4% at the communal level. This demonstrates a positive change in the way people approach and use technology.

Along with that, smart urban applications such as software for reflecting on-site incidents, traffic safety warnings and platforms for integrating medical and educational information have been deployed, bringing practical benefits to daily life. The community digital transformation team plays an important role in guiding people to use digital applications and encouraging businesses to apply electronic contracts and e-commerce to improve business efficiency.

In 2025, the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Binh aims to continue expanding digital infrastructure to 100% of villages and hamlets with low signal and national grid electricity coverage. Along with that, solutions to improve network information security, develop the digital economy with a minimum proportion of 15% of GRDP and provide online public services throughout the process to achieve an average rate of at least 95% of administrative procedures.

Ms. Nha Uyen (Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province) said that applying digital transformation to work as well as life helps her shorten time as well as improve work efficiency.

For example, when going to the doctor, in the past she had to present many documents, but now she only needs a phone or ID card, all procedures are scanned and done quickly in a very short time.

With determination and strong progress, Quang Binh is gradually affirming its role in digital transformation, making technology an effective tool to promote sustainable socio-economic development, while bringing practical values to people and businesses in the area.
