After the positive feedback, we decided to make Perplexity a fixed part, expanding it to more computer users, said Mozilla. Perplexity provides answers in a dialogue with source citations, helping you verify information without having to search through a series of results.
Predicting concerns about privacy and personal data, Mozilla stressed that Perplexity rigorously complies with the regulation of not selling or sharing user data. The company affirms that users always have control over when and whether to use this tool or not.
Currently, Perplexity is only rolling out on the version, but Mozilla said it is planning to expand to a mobile version in the next few months.
In addition to integrating Perplexity AI, the latest update to Firefox also brings some other notable features:
Profiles support: Allow users to create and switch between different web browsing settings, making it convenient to separate work and personal life.
vayisual Search: Integrated with Google Lens, helps you search for information from images with just a right click.
Mozilla added, User feedback will help us decide where the image search feature will next appear, from the address bar to the mobile version.
