On June 30, within the framework of the digital transformation cooperation program between the Government Office and the French Embassy in Vietnam, the Digital Transformation Department worked with a delegation of experts from the French Embassy to exchange experiences on building a digital government, data management, artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure and human resource development.
Attending the program, on the Vietnamese side were Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh - Deputy Director of the Digital Transformation Department, Government Office; representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Science and Technology and related agencies.
The French expert delegation was led by Mr. Romain Busuttil - Deputy Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities, French Embassy in Vietnam, along with experts in the fields of digital transformation and public administration.
At the working session, Deputy Director Nguyen Cong Thanh said that in the coming time, Vietnam's focus is to accelerate the development of data infrastructure, digital infrastructure and shared platforms, and effectively implement regulations on data connection and sharing between state agencies to form a unified data ecosystem to serve direction and administration.

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh, in the context of rapid technological development, especially AI, which is creating strong changes in national governance, learning international experience is very important.
Therefore, Vietnam wishes to continue to receive sharing from French experts on data development, AI application, building e-government as well as effective operation methods of government digital platforms.
Mr. Romain Busuttil - Deputy Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities, French Embassy in Vietnam said that the French Embassy will continue to study the proposals of the Government Office to develop specific cooperation programs, especially in the field of high-quality human resource training.
Besides universities, the French side is also ready to connect Vietnam with training institutions for civil servants and public administrative management, typically the French National Institute of Public Services (INSP), and at the same time create conditions for Vietnamese delegations to study the practical implementation of AI and digital transformation policies in localities of France.

Representatives of the French Embassy affirmed that the French Government pays great attention to Vietnam's digital transformation cooperation project. In addition to professional content, communication is also considered an important factor to spread the results of cooperation between the two countries.
Regarding AI, Mr. Romain Busuttil said that France appreciates Vietnam's early development of a legal framework and orientation for responsible AI use.
In the working program from June 30 - July 3, French experts will share about digital transformation trends in the world; legal framework and data management; data centers, cloud computing, data sharing infrastructure; essential digital infrastructure management models and many other contents related to building a modern digital government.
