According to international media, Samsung's Q3 revenue reached 86.1 trillion won ($60.5 billion), slightly higher than analysts' forecast of 85.93 trillion won.
This figure increased by 8.85% over the same period last year. In terms of operating profit in the third quarter, Samsung reported 12.2 trillion won (8.59 billion USD), surpassing the estimate of 11.25 trillion won. The profit of this activity increased sharply by 32.9% over the same period last year.
These figures show Samsung's strong transformation compared to the second quarter of this year. Accordingly, Samsung's operating profit from July to September 2025 increased by 160% compared to April to June this year. Revenue also increased by 15.5% compared to the previous quarter.
Samsung could see a strong increase in semiconductor sales early next year thanks to the potential strength of the semiconductor market. "In the first half of 2026, we expect the semiconductor market to continue to grow strongly, thanks to the ongoing AI investment," Samsung emphasized.
Samsung's chip business generated an operating profit of 7,000 billion won (US$4.91 billion) in the third quarter of this year, up 81% over the same period last year.
The mobile and network experience business, which develops, manufactures and sells products such as smartphones, tablets and wearables, has recorded a 28% increase in operating profit, reaching 3.6 trillion won ($2.53 billion). Samsung said the segment benefits from strong sales from top-notch smartphones like the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Looking ahead, Samsung shares with analysts that the strong growth of the AI industry will help create new market opportunities, not only for chips but also for its devices. In general, this was an encouraging quarter for the company, especially considering the dismal results of the previous quarter.
