A recent report said that Gemini Intelligence will be "commercialized for the first time on the Galaxy line" through the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 duo with One UI 9 interface. This means new features may appear around July or August this year.
Previously, Google said that Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices would be updated with Gemini Intelligence from "this summer". If the above information is correct, Samsung's new foldable phone line could be experienced earlier than the Google Pixel 11 series.
Gemini Intelligence is a new direction announced by Google with Android 17, aiming to turn Android into a "smart operating system".
The first series of features includes a new interface when Gemini processes tasks, automatically fills in intelligently based on data from Google applications, a voice input feature on Gboard that can automatically correct errors in real time, and the "Create my Widget" tool that allows creating widgets with text commands.
One UI 9 based on Android 17 has now been released in a trial version and is likely to be officially launched with Samsung's new foldable phone duo.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event to introduce these devices is said to take place on July 22.
