On the website platform, the WebGIS system displays thunderstorm, tornado, lightning forecasts according to each detailed zoning in Ha Long Bay; marking important locations and warning points.
The system also provides regional forecast bulletins with updated data in real time.
For smartphones, the application is compatible on both Android and iOS operating systems.
To improve accuracy, the provincial hydrometeorological agency, the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board and tourist boat management units have agreed to divide the Ha Long Bay area into 9 sub-regions.
