Design and screen
At first glance, the iPhone 17 does not change its design too much compared to the iPhone 16, but impresses with a larger screen size, from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches.
The biggest highlight is the first time a standard iPhone model has an OLED XDR ProMotion 120Hz screen, which previously only appeared on the Pro line.
The iPhone 17's Super Retina XDR display has a maximum brightness of up to 3,000 nits, surpassing the iPhone 16's 2,000 nits, with Ceramic Shield 2 technology that increases the durability by three times.
In addition, the Always-on Display feature is also officially available in the standard version, bringing a higher-end experience.
Stronger performance
The heart of the iPhone 17 is the new A19 chip, manufactured on TSMC's 3nm process. Apple said the processor is 20% faster than the A18 chip on the iPhone 16, with a 6-fold processor and a 5-fold processor, improving both speed and graphics processing capabilities.
Big upgrade in the camera
Apple integrates an optical-quality Telephoto 2x lens with a 48MP Fusion main camera on the iPhone 17, giving a sharp image and four times more detail than the previous version.
Centre Stage front camera with new square sensor brings a wide viewing angle, supporting Selfie without rotation.
The ability to record super stable 4K HDR videos is also a notable plus.
iOS 26 operating system and Liquid Glass design
A clear difference is that iPhone 17 runs iOS 26 right after shipping.
This operating system version comes with many new features such as Call Check, Live Service and a redesigned Camera interface.
In addition, Apple also introduced a transparent Liquid Glass design, creating a new, modern visual effect.
Battery and storage capacity
The iPhone 17 supports 40W fast charging, allowing for 50% battery charging in just 20 minutes. Compared to the 128GB base iPhone 16, the iPhone 17 starts at 256GB, with five color options: black, lavender purple, foggy blue, gray blue and white.
Selling price
In the international market, iPhone 17 is being retailed from 799 USD. The machine will officially be on shelves from September 19.
In the Vietnamese market (according to apple.com), the price will start from 24,999,000 VND for the 256 GB version.
With significant improvements in display, performance and camera, iPhone 17 is considered an attractive choice for users considering upgrading from iPhone 16.
However, the final decision depends on the needs and usage habits of each individual.
