At the end of November 2024, My Dinh Stadium was leased to organize the large-scale music program "Anh trai say hi".
1 week after the concert ended, the My Dinh stadium's grass was not evenly colored, many places were covered with favi. Some areas near the border have been bare with grass, exposing soil and sand.
In fact, My Dinh Stadium has revealed problems right from the time The Cong Viettel club competed in the V.League. However, 2 music nights and many other activities made the maintenance of the stadium difficult.

At that time, because the grass did not recover in time and did not meet the standards and conditions for organizing the competition, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) chose Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) as the home stadium of the Vietnam team at the 2024 ASEAN Cup.
After more than 2 months, when V.League 2024-2025 returns to compete, the quality of My Dinh Stadium continues to be a topic of discussion.
Accordingly, after the match between The Cong Viettel and Hoang Anh Gia Lai (2.9), coach Le Quang Trai of the Mountain City team frankly said: "I see that My Dinh Stadium has deteriorated after the lease period to organize a music performance. The grass in the A stand area is very rough. I think the grass of the national stadium needs to be maintained and repaired better".

In fact, the My Dinh Stadium turf has improved a lot compared to before the 2024 ASEAN Cup. However, for now, My Dinh National Sports Complex still needs to focus on renovating and maintaining the stadium.
This will be done in the coming time, in order to bring a new look to My Dinh National Stadium. From there, the matches of the Vietnam team can be brought back to this stadium.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Dang Ha Viet - Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports - said: "In 2025, My Dinh Stadium will be allocated 8 billion VND to repair the My Dinh Stadium turf. At the end of last year, it was approved, so this year the sports industry will carry out renovation and improvement.
Infrastructure items such as roofs... are related to investment capital and many other things, so we will soon solve the problem of My Dinh Stadium's grass because the grass is old and past the use period".
Regarding the repair implementation, Mr. Nguyen Trong Ho - Director of My Dinh National Sports Complex - said: "We plan to repair My Dinh Stadium from June to October. However, this work still has to be bid and depends on the State's procedures.
My Dinh Stadium will have its entire grass repaired and the foundation will be rebuilt. The grass surface is being covered with 20 layers, but will later be dug up to 40-50 layers to completely re-enhance. The water spraying system will also be upgraded".

In terms of infrastructure, My Dinh Stadium has been "mentored" since 2021 when the Vietnamese team played in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup and will continue to be restored in 2022 when hosting the 31st SEA Games. Currently, some functional rooms such as dressing room, press conference room, Vip room... are still in a guaranteed state.
In addition, some corridors outside the stadium have peeled off the foundation and are stuck with water, and need to be repaired and cleaned to restore a more beautiful appearance to My Dinh Stadium.
