According to Soc Trang Provincial Police, the Provincial Information Security Monitoring Center (SOC) put into operation has promoted positive results. From May 2025 to present, the system has been put into operation and exploitation at the Provincial Data integration Center and its affiliated units have recorded and effectively supported the handling of 7,699 warnings related to malware and unusual behavior in the province's information system.
The SOC Center allows centralized monitoring, timely detection of unusual signs and risks of data leakage and quick coordination in handling incidents between agencies such as the Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Police and state units in Soc Trang province. The system is also connected to the National Cyber Security Monitoring Center, contributing to improving national cyber defense capabilities.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi - Vice Chairman of Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee said that the operation of the SOC center helps the province proactively monitor, warn and handle cybersecurity incidents in a timely manner, thereby better protecting data of the government, people and businesses. This is also an important preparation step for the province to be ready to respond to situations arising in the process of arranging administrative units and innovating the operations of State agencies.
Soc Trang SOC Center was approved for investment in Resolution No. 132/NQ-HDND dated October 1, 2021 of the People's Council of Soc Trang province, assigning the provincial Department of Science and Technology as the Investor. At the end of 2022, the project was approved with a total investment of more than 24 billion VND, from the local budget balance fund.
