AI Good and the goal of popularizing AI for Vietnamese people and businesses
AI or a startup for the foundation of searching and researching knowledge based on artificial intelligence (AI), founded by an experienced technology expert in Vietnam. First appearing in June 2024, AI Hay has so far affirmed its position in the field of AI for Vietnamese people.
Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep - AI operations director said that after the success of the capital round at Series A, the total investment capital that AI Hay received increased to more than 18 million USD, with the support of prestigious investment funds such as: Argor Capital, Square Peg, Northstar Ventures, Appworks and Phoenix Holdings.
Regarding downloads, AI Hay currently has 15 million downloads on both the AppStore and Google Play. Since successfully calling for capital, AI Hay has accelerated products and features for the educational and business environment. Especially in the high school graduation exam last July, the features of reviewing, predicting the university passing rate... helped AI Hay surpass 60 places in the rankings (ads as of July 17).
The leader of AI Or also emphasized that to accept that this platform is successful at the present time is probably too early because technology is changing every day, the needs of users are also changing every day.
However, with the achievements in many aspects such as finance (successfully calling for capital in the Series A round), or international recognition (AI or Vietnam's technology startup in the Forbes Asia To Watch 100), and the trust of students, lecturers of prestigious universities and academies across the country (Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, FPT University, Ton Duc Thang University), I think that the AI team has the right to be proud of their products, said AI Hay representative.
Regarding the orientation in the coming time, AI Hay said it will still stick to the goal of popularizing AI to Vietnamese people and Vietnamese enterprises. Currently, for the end-users, AI Or is still prioritizing students, because this will be the future owner of the country. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep emphasized that AI should not only be in large corporations or solve macro problems, but AI needs to help users solve even basic problems such as: a student solves exercises, a pensioner looks up policies.
The immediate goal of AI Or is to expand cooperation with partners who own high-quality indigenous data - from education, public administration, law to entertainment - to continuously improve the accuracy, updating and cultural appropriateness of answers.
At the same time, this startup will continuously launch new features and products to serve general users, especially students, goers - those who need a trusted AI assistant to study, look up, work or relax every day. The startup leadership team hopes to help remove language and cost barriers, making AI more accessible and useful for everyone, everywhere.
When asked about their role and responsibility in contributing to creating products and technology solutions that resonate with Vietnam, AI representative Hay shared: In the era of the nation's strong growth, we believe that technology is not only a tool, but also a strength to position Vietnam on the global technology map.
As a startup, we are clearly aware that our responsibility does not stop at creating useful products, but also creating solutions that are closely linked to the needs and culture of Vietnamese people.
Contributing to building a strong data economy
The technology field is not only a playground for men, in addition, many women have also achieved many successes. One of them is businesswoman Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, General Director of KCI Credit Information Joint Stock Company.
With more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry in many fields such as e-commerce, e-wallets, digital transformation, AI, fintech, Big Data... Ms. Nhung shared that she has been lucky to experience many things.
When asked what is the biggest difficulty in working in a field with high pressure, continuous innovation and social prejudice, General Director of KCI shared: I think that Vietnamese women have a very unique quality: The more difficult it is, the more resilient it is, but still maintaining flexibility, flexibility, and sensitivity - things that women are created to favor. From another perspective, it is those qualities that become advantages when women step into the technology industry.
However, saying so does not mean that the road is easy. Working in technology requires the ability to look deep into the core of the problem, predict future trends, but at the same time, be very sensitive to current opportunities. Not to mention, team leadership in the technology environment is also a big challenge - how to make everyone share the same goals, keep the same spirit and organizational culture in the midst of changing every day.
For me, the key is still being human. Technology can develop rapidly thanks to breakthroughs, but to be sustainable, businesses must have a good team: From professional capacity to professional ethics. Finding talent is already difficult, retaining and developing them is even more difficult - but that is the foundation for organizing sustainable development".
As a senior leader at KCI, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung cherishes a big goal. Currently, I am starting a new journey with KCI - a unit that has just been licensed by the State Bank to operate in the field of credit information. This is a new mountain, challenging but with great potential.
