Lao Dong Newspaper had an interview with Mr. Dang Hong Anh - Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association about the positive contributions of the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs in proactively adapting, developing sustainably, striving to accompany the country to overcome difficulties, recover the economy, contributing to building a strong, prosperous Vietnam and reaching the world.

In your opinion, what have Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs done to quickly adapt to socio-economic fluctuations and still maintain sustainable development?

- In the context of many fluctuations in the socio-economy, the Vietnamese business community and young entrepreneurs have always proactively adapted in many clear and specific directions. In particular, we focus on digital transformation and innovation, not only in production and business but also in management, marketing, and finance to improve competitiveness.

At the same time, promote linkages and cooperation, form a diverse business ecosystem, complement each other, and share resources to overcome difficulties. In addition, Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs always uphold the spirit of social responsibility, join hands with the Government and the community in recovery and sustainable development programs.

For you, which are the most outstanding achievements of the Vietnamese business community that have contributed to accompanying Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country to overcome difficulties and recover the economy?

- In recent times, the Vietnamese business community has left many important impressions, with many practical specific programs. From building charity houses, sponsoring scholarships, giving gifts to the poor to supporting patients in difficulty, our activities have touched almost every region of the country. Millions of entrepreneurs have made efforts to maintain operations, create new business models, and stabilize jobs for tens of millions of workers, especially during the pandemic and post-COVID-19 period, thereby ensuring jobs and income for workers.

Many businesses have pioneered the application of technology, e-commerce, and smart logistics, contributing to keeping the supply chain unbroken, while opening up new growth directions, thereby promoting digital transformation and innovation.

The private economic sector contributes nearly 51% of GDP, more than 30% of total budget revenue, creating jobs for more than 80% of the workforce. At the same time, entrepreneurs are also at the forefront of social security programs, community support and recovery after the crisis, contributing greatly to the budget and social responsibility. These achievements not only help the economy of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country overcome difficulties but also affirm that Vietnamese entrepreneurs are the core force, a pioneer on the journey to create a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

How has the application of digital transformation and innovation in production and business brought about positive changes for Vietnamese enterprises?

- The application of digital transformation and innovation has created very positive changes for Vietnamese enterprises in many aspects. Current

businesses have applied management software, electronic invoices, ERP... to help streamline processes, reduce losses, increase productivity, contribute to improving governance efficiency and cost savings.

E-commerce, digital marketing, online platforms have helped businesses reach customers nationwide, even reaching out to the international market at low costs, thereby helping to expand markets and consumption channels greatly. From the digital banking model, cashless payments, to the application of AI in logistics, smart agriculture, etc., all have opened up opportunities for rapid and sustainable growth, promoting innovation of new products and services.

Thanks to digital transformation, many businesses have maintained operations during the epidemic period, overcome supply chain disruptions and recovered quickly after the crisis. In other words, digital transformation is a "new runway" for Vietnamese enterprises to take off, make a breakthrough in the digital economic era and integrate globally, increasing resilience for enterprises.

In your opinion, what is the biggest opportunity for the Vietnamese private economy to affirm its most important driving force role in the national economy?

- In my opinion, the biggest opportunity for the Vietnamese private economy at present is the convergence between the rising internal resources of enterprises and the open policies and guidelines from the State. Exploiting all the hidden power of the Vietnamese business community, together breaking through in the new era. Because we are in the process of deep integration, expanding new-generation FTAs, creating a huge market for breakthrough private enterprises. The 4.0 industrial revolution, digital transformation and green economy open up opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to take a shortcut and take the lead, not to depend too much on the old model. In particular, with the emergence of the Politburo's Strategic Resolution Quartet, including Resolution 68-NQ/TW, affirming that the private economy is an important driving force of the economy - this is a solid legal corridor for entrepreneurs to boldly invest, innovate and affirm their pillar role. Therefore, if we know how to take advantage of this opportunity, the private economic sector can completely become one of the most important driving forces of the national economy, accompanying the Government to create a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

What additional support policies do Vietnamese enterprises need to continue to reach the regional and world levels, building a strong and prosperous Vietnam?

For Vietnamese enterprises to reach the regional and world level, in my opinion, three pillars are needed: One is a transparent and stable institution for businesses to feel secure in investing; two is a favorable financial - credit policy, expanding capital for innovation; three is modern infrastructure and high-quality human resources. This will be the foundation for businesses to affirm their position, accompany the Government to build a strong and prosperous Vietnam in the new era, an era of wealth, civilization, prosperity and happiness.

Thank you!
