Vietnamese technology enterprises are in the golden time to break through, master strategic technologies, take advantage of the Government's support policies...

In the context of strong global digital transformation, Vietnamese digital technology enterprises are gradually affirming their position by mastering technology, creating Vietnamese intellectual products and solutions, and constantly innovating to reach the regional and international markets.

With the foundation of young, flexible human resources and the desire for global integration, Vietnamese enterprises are becoming a pioneer in creating a digital future, making an important contribution to the goal of developing a digital economy accounting for 50% of GDP by 2045 in the spirit of Resolution 57.

This is the golden time for Vietnamese technology enterprises to break through, master strategic technologies, take advantage of the Government's support policies and exploit the potential digital transformation market and reach out to the world.

At the Vietnam - Asia Digital Transformation Summit 2025 (Vietnam - Asia DX Summit 2025), Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - Chairman of VINASA - General Director of FPT Corporation said that the Politburo has passed Resolution 68, demonstrating a clear commitment to promoting the private economic sector. Currently, Vietnam has about 50,000 enterprises in the technology sector, but most of them are still small and medium enterprises. In the context of a serious shortage of IT human resources (IT technology), it is forecasted that in the next 10 years, the world will need about half a million more IT engineers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa said that this is a golden opportunity for Vietnam to promote the advantages of a young population, passionate about technology, ready to become a center for providing high-quality technology human resources to the world.

To turn opportunities into reality, the Chairman of VINASA suggested that there should be joint action. On the Government's side, it is necessary to continue to improve the legal corridor. In particular, increasing investment in digital infrastructure and human resource training.

On the business side, it is necessary to boldly invest more in R&D, focusing on core technologies and product quality. Strengthen cooperation and linkages to create syndicated strength and together conquer larger markets.

On the social side, building a digital culture, encouraging the spirit of innovation and accepting new business models. Vietnam is holding its own technological fate in hand. By mastering technology and taking advantage of opportunities from comprehensive digital transformation, digital technology enterprises not only contribute to the prosperity of the country but can also include Vietnam on the world technology map.

According to the 2024 summary report of the Ministry of Information and Communications - now the Ministry of Science and Technology - Vietnam currently has more than 54,500 digital technology enterprises, an increase of 16% compared to 2023. The total revenue of the industry reached nearly 152 billion USD, with more than 1.2 million workers working in this field.

Mr. Vu Anh Tu - Technology Director of FPT Corporation said that these figures are not simply data. They are clear evidence that today's technology is no longer just a separate field, but has become a core development infrastructure of the country.

"At FPT, we believe that AI and green digital platforms will play a role in shaping the future of humanity, and be the growth pillar of the group in the next decade" - Mr. Vu Anh Tu said.
