One of the notable points is that this device can use a hooded screen design, similar to the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models launched at the same time.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station on social network Weibo, iPhone Fold will have an external screen outside the hooded camera, instead of the current Dynamic Island cluster. Previously, some leaks have also mentioned this detail.
This change is likely due to Apple integrating Face ID sensors down to the bottom of the screen, allowing for a streamlined front camera display. The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to have a cluster of holes in the upper left corner - instead of the center like many current Android phone models.
The remaining question is where will the iPhone Fold holes be placed? It is likely that Apple will choose a left-angle location to create synchronization with the Pro models, while the iPhone 18 Air may still retain the traditional Dynamic Island design.
If so, Apple is gradually moving into a minimalist design era, preparing for future screen technology advances.
