According to Doist company - the developer of Todoist, the feature named Todoist Ramble helps users describe work in natural language. Even discrete, unclear statements are automatically processed by AI and converted into structured tasks. The application can recognize the time limit, priority level, duration of performance or the person assigned the task if these information is mentioned during speaking.
The usage is quite simple. Users only need to tap the Ramble icon and start speaking, without typing. In the process, AI updates tasks in real time and still receives edits as soon as the user changes their mind, such as moving the schedule to another day or ending the command.
Todoist Ramble is part of the Todoist Assist feature suite, built on large language models and using Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Live to process voice directly. Doist states that user audio is not stored and is not used for AI training. The application has also achieved SOC2 Type II security certification.
Before its widespread release, Ramble was tested with about 150,000 users participating in the early experience program. In the first three weeks, more than 76,000 users had performed nearly 290,000 usage sessions. The rate of successful task creation increased from about 40% to over 60%, thereby contributing to promoting the number of people upgrading to paid packages.
Currently, Todoist Ramble is available on iOS, Android, desktops and web platforms, supporting 38 languages. Basic package users can still use it but with a limited number of times per month, while Pro and Business packages are used unlimitedly.
