On September 23, the Department of Science and Technology of Hung Yen province coordinated with Thai Binh University to organize a forum to inspire creative startups with the theme "Startup Journey - Aspiration to Go to Sea".
The forum is one of the activities to launch and accompany the Hung Yen Provincial Startup and Innovation Contest in 2026.
At the forum, nearly 500 students were introduced by experts and consulting groups about the Hung Yen Provincial Startup and Innovation Contest 2026; inspiring and suggesting thinking, choosing issues, problems and ideas to develop into startup projects.
At the same time, experts also directly exchange, advise, answer difficulties, support groups to complete ideas and projects, and guide registration for exam applications in the form of direct or online.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Ha Van Dong - Vice Rector of Thai Binh University said that the forum is an opportunity for groups of ideas to access practical experiences, exchange with experts, and receive advice to complete ideas, products and gradually realize projects.
In the context of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation playing an increasingly important role, startup ideas need to originate from local practical problems such as high-tech agriculture, agricultural product processing, tourism, culture, education and digital transformation.
Educational institutions also need to become an environment to nurture the spirit of creativity, connecting students with experts, businesses and support resources.
At the forum, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thai - Deputy Director of Hung Yen Department of Science and Technology said that the Hung Yen Provincial Startup and Innovation Contest 2026 is organized with participants expanded from scientists, researchers, teachers, students to people with ideas, projects, and solutions that can be implemented in the province.
This year's contest also expands the types of entries, not only projects but also models, solutions, and projects that have been or are capable of practical application; encouraging initiatives to serve the community and improve the quality of life.
To date, 49/73 participating units are schools, accounting for nearly 70%. The Organizing Committee and a team of experts and advisors will accompany the participating groups from completing ideas to the final round, and at the same time support feasible ideas after the competition.
