The maximum capacity of ADC is 50TBPS, the largest in Vietnam and is equal to 125% of the total international connection capacity of Vietnam before the ADC route operates.
Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) owns the entire branch of the sea cable connecting Vietnam and shore station in Quy Nhon, the same part of the main axis to international.
Viettel Networks is an operating unit.
The total investment capital of the whole ADC route is up to 290 million USD with the cooperation of the top 9 telecommunications groups including Viettel (Vietnam), SoftBank (Japan), Tata (India), Singtel (Singapore) China TelecomMunications Corporation, China Telecom Global, China Unicom (China), National Telecom (Thailand), PLDT (Philippines).
The largest cable route in Vietnam
ADC is a underground fiber optic cable system of about 9,800km long, connecting 7 countries and territories including Vietnam, China, Hong Kong (China), Thailand, Philippines, Singapore and Japan.
Compared to Vietnam's existing sea cable, ADC has a special feature that is directly connected to all 3 Internet centers of Asia including Singapore, Hong Kong (China) and Japan.
The maximum capacity of ADC is 50Tbps, the largest in Vietnam and is equal to 125% of the total international connection capacity of all 5 operating marine optical cable lines (IA, AAE-1, APG, AGG, SMW-3). ADC also has higher speeds than previous systems.
Meet the needs of AI, 5g and ready for all incidents
In the immediate future, Viettel put into use a part of the ADC route to improve the international connection capacity, meet new data needs and increase customer experience when using Internet services.
With ADC, Viettel raises international connection reserves, increases the number of cable and international connectivity, ensures the needs of Vietnam's connection when there is a marine fiber optic breakdown.
ADC not only helps to ensure network safety, but also consolidates the number of infrastructure to meet the services requiring high speed and large bandwidth such as AI (artificial intelligence), 5G, Big Data (large data), AR/VR (enhanced virtual reality/reality).
