Google has just released a major update to the Gemini application, bringing the most requested feature of which is support for audio file uploading.
This is considered a step forward to make this AI tool more comprehensive in handling multimedia data.
Previously, Gemini allowed uploading images, text, and many other types of files but did not support audio, which was a limitation that made many users feel inconvenienced.
With the new update, users on Android, iOS and even web platforms can directly download audio files for AI to analyze.
According to Josh Woodward, Vice President of Google Labs and Gemini, this feature is the number 1 requirement from the user community.
Google has responded by allowing users of the free package to Upload up to 10 minutes of audio with 5 reminders per day.
Meanwhile, those who use Google AI Pro or AI Ultra packages can download files up to 3 hours long, serving the need for in-depth analysis.
Not only stopping at audio, Gemini also increases the number of files submitted per nhac to a maximum of 10 files, regardless of format. This allows users to provide AI with more context and data, thereby creating close feedback to real needs.
Google also upgraded the Search engine by adding five new languages to AI still.
Users can now place complex queries in Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese Brazil... These capabilities are powered by the Gemini 2.5 model, helping to enhance the multilingual search experience and expand the scope of AI applications to more markets.
With this extension, many people can ask questions in their preferred language and explore the web more deeply, Google emphasized in the announcement.
This update shows Google's strategy of promoting the application of AI in core products.
Gemini is not just a dialogue tool, but is moving towards becoming a comprehensive AI platform, supporting multimedia and multiple languages, competing directly with major rivals in the field of artificial intelligence.
