In her opening speech, Dr. Le Mai Lan - Chairman of the Board of VinUni University sent her condolences to the scientists and students attending. Dr. Le Mai Lan said she was moved when listening to the sharing of the award winners at the award ceremony on the evening of December 5. The short speeches have opened up the journey of many challenges, sacrifices and persistent efforts behind the scientific projects.
According to Dr. Le Mai Lan, most of the scientists' working time is spent in silence. They have to overcome failure and sometimes "do not see the light at the end of the road". For female scientists or from developing countries, the pressure is even greater. Success only comes with courage, persistent efforts and support from family, colleagues and society.
She said that VinFuture Foundation chose to organize the award ceremony on Solidarity International Day to send a message of respect to scientists. In addition, a big concern is whether the younger generation will continue to commit to the path of science when this journey is full of challenges.
Therefore, every year the VinFuture Foundation organizes an exchange session between scientists and students right after the award ceremony. This is an opportunity for the young generation of Vietnam to directly access stories, experiences and scientific life perspectives.

Dr. Le Mai Lan hopes that the exchange will bring new inspiration. She hopes scientists will share sincere stories about why they are pursuing science, the most difficult moments or motivation to help them overcome challenges and important turning points in their careers.
She emphasized the message "Science is for all" and the spirit of "Can Do" for Vietnamese students, so that they dare to continue on their research path. This is also a rare opportunity for students to ask questions, listen and keep for themselves things that can motivate them in their career journey.
At the program, scientists who won the VinFuture Prize 2025 spent time sharing about research work and answering many questions from students related to science, technology and areas related to life.
The atmosphere of discussion was exciting as students raised questions about the development direction of new science majors, international cooperation opportunities or challenges in the research process. The speakers presented many close-up perspectives, helping young people better understand the path to science and the values that knowledge can bring to society.
