Many legal problems
Danang IT Park is located in Hoa Lien commune (Hoa Vang district, Danang) invested by Danang Information Technology Park Development Joint Stock Company. This place was expected to become one of the best information technology development communities in Asia in Danang city following the model of "Silicon Valley" of the United States.
However, the entire area is currently deserted, with many areas of land in this project left vacant and overgrown with grass.
In addition, some buildings and structures have been completed but after a period of disuse, they have been covered with grass and vines; some items in the project have shown signs of deterioration.
Not only Danang IT Park, Software Park No. 2 Project, located in Hai Chau district, although completed the construction of the rough structure and infrastructure for nearly 2 years, has not been put into use yet, due to legal problems...
Software Park No. 2 has a total area of over 28,000m2, and was started in October 2022 by the Danang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor. After completion, the project is expected to provide about 6,000 direct IT jobs. However, before that, the Government had not issued legal regulations and legal corridors on assets and infrastructure of public assets in the IT sector.
Speed up investment implementation progress
According to the representative of the investor of Da Nang Concentrated Information Technology Park, after investing and completing the infrastructure of phase 1 of the project in March 2019, the company sent a document to the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Da Nang City to consider continuing to allocate land for phase 2. From there, creating conditions for businesses to soon synchronously deploy the project, linking both phases to avoid wasting time and optimally exploiting business activities at the project.
During the handover and implementation of phase 2 of the project, the company will continue to invest and put into operation the expert area and ecological park to provide convenient services for experts, staff and partners working at the Information Technology Park.
At the Software Park No. 2 Project, after a recent inspection, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang requested the Da Nang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Management Board to continue to speed up the investment progress and complete the Project.
In addition, the leaders of Da Nang City requested the Department of Information and Communications to quickly deploy work related to the establishment of a project to exploit assets and information infrastructure of the Da Nang Software Park Concentrated Information Technology Zone.
Along with that, it is necessary to specify policies to call for businesses to invest in Software Park No. 2. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to innovative businesses and semiconductor microchips, aiming to build a sustainable information technology ecosystem in Da Nang.
