Ms. Ho Ngoc Thuy (40 years old) and Mr. Truong Quang Thai (43 years old) once attracted attention when cycling across Vietnam to Hanoi, and were reflected by Lao Dong Newspaper in the article: "Those who silently tell their stories at the parade and parade to celebrate National Day 2.9".
The couple's journey started from July 22 in their hometown, to Hanoi on the evening of August 27. After nearly 40 days of struggling to overcome the sun and wind, steep passes, and even storms and floods, they have set foot in the capital and lived in the atmosphere of the National Day.

Ms. Thuy said that her family has a revolutionary tradition. Her grandmother had raised troops during the resistance war but had never been to Hanoi, and had not visited Uncle Ho's Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square before passing away 5 years ago.
"Ngoai once wished to visit Uncle Ho. The locality once organized the mothers to visit the soldiers, but at that time their children were too weak and could not walk. After that, my grandmother passed away, carrying that expectation. Now at home, there are still 4th grade war invalids and their aunt who used to work as delivery workers, but they are both old and weak," Ms. Thuy said emotionally.
Therefore, she and her husband decided to go to Hanoi on behalf of their family, bringing her grandmother's portrait to fulfill the biggest wish of her life.
During their journey across the country, the couple stopped at many martyrs' cemeteries to burn incense in memory. "Every time I offer incense in front of the graves of heroic martyrs, I feel like I am empowered," she shared.
Not only did she fulfill her family's wishes, the couple also saved some money to commemorate their wedding day and send it to the gratitude Fund. She said that her uncle and aunt were supported to build a house of gratitude from this fund on the land left by their grandmother.

Their special 2,000 km journey has received companionship and support from the community. As of the afternoon of September 3, the total amount of donations was up to 104,550,000 VND.
"That is all the heart of the community nationwide sent through the journey of my husband and I, to transfer to the Central gratitude Temple Fund, to better care for people with revolutionary contributions," said Ms. Thuy.
As planned, on the evening of September 3, after completing the money transfer procedures, Ms. Thuy and her husband boarded a train to leave Hanoi, return to Ho Chi Minh City and then return home to Can Tho.
