Choose fresh lemon
Before processing, wash thoroughly, then rub the skin with a handful of salt to remove pesticide residue and wax, and finally rinse with water twice.
Peel
We can peel fresh lemons and cut them into 2-3 mm slices. However, the peel is also good for health, drinking it in hot weather can quench thirst. A normal sized lemon can be cut into about 15-20 pieces.
Cool the lemon
After slicing, put in a sealed box, add honey, add cooled boiled water to soak the lemon slices, cover the box and store in the refrigerator for about two days.
Water temperature does not exceed 70 degrees Celsius
The appropriate water temperature is 60-70 degrees Celsius. Water used to soak lemons that is too cold will make the lemon's aroma disappear.
If you use boiling water to mix, it will easily destroy vitamin C and many bitter substances will dissolve, affecting the taste and nutrition.
Drink 200ml of lemon juice every day
Lemons are highly acidic and should not be consumed in large quantities. We should drink a glass of lemon water (200 ml) per day. Add 2-4 slices of lemon to the glass of water. If you feel it is too sour, you can add honey and mix well.
If you want to use lemon juice instead of boiled water to quench your thirst, the flavor must be mild. Soak a large piece of lemon with the peel in 1 liter of water. When the lemon flavor is gone, just replace it with a new lemon. Lemon juice brewed this way will not be sour or bitter.
