The liver - the organ that plays the most important detoxification role in the body - also has to work harder to process toxins from food, the environment and metabolites. Therefore, proper liver care and detoxification in the summer is essential to maintain health.

First of all, drinking enough water is the simplest but most effective method to help the liver function well. When the temperature rises, the body sweats a lot, causing water to drain quickly. If you don't get enough water, the liver will have to work harder to excrete toxins.

Each person should drink 2–2.5 liters of water per day, and can also supplement water from fruits such as watermelon, orange, grapefruit or lemon juice to increase vitamins and minerals.

In addition, a scientific diet plays a very important role in liver protection. In hot weather, you should limit fatty foods, spicy and hot foods, alcoholic beverages or carbonated soft drinks because they overload the liver. Instead, you should prioritize green vegetables, fresh fruits and fiber-rich foods to help the body detoxify naturally.

Some foods such as artichokes, pennywort, chlorophyll or green tea are also considered to effectively support liver function thanks to their antioxidant ability.

In addition to nutrition, maintaining a healthy lifestyle also plays an important role in helping the liver to be healthy in hot weather. Getting enough sleep, limiting staying up late and gentle exercise help increase blood circulation and improve metabolism. At the same time, it is necessary to avoid abusing drugs or products of unknown origin because they can cause serious liver damage.

Liver detoxification does not require too complex or costly methods. Just drink enough water, eat healthily and maintain a regular lifestyle, each person can support the liver to function more effectively in the hot summer days.

A healthy liver will help the body be full of energy and increase its ability to withstand negative impacts from hot environments.
