First of all, drinking enough water every day helps blood circulation become more stable. When the body is dehydrated, the blood tends to become thicker, the heart must work hard to pump blood throughout the body, thereby causing blood pressure to rise.

Therefore, adults should maintain about 1.5 to 2 liters of water per day depending on physical condition and exercise level. However, do not drink too much in a short time because it can put pressure on the kidneys and heart.

After waking up in the morning, drinking a glass of warm water helps stimulate blood circulation and supports the body in eliminating toxins. People with high blood pressure should also prioritize heart-healthy drinks such as filtered water, low-sugar vegetable juice or light herbal tea. Some drinks such as celery juice, tomato juice or green tea contain antioxidants and minerals that help stabilize blood pressure. Conversely, it is necessary to limit carbonated soft drinks, alcohol and drinks containing too much caffeine because they can make the heart beat faster and blood pressure increase sharply.

Controlling salt intake in the diet combined with drinking water reasonably will help the body balance electrolytes better. When the body absorbs too much sodium without being provided with enough water, blood pressure will easily increase due to water retention in the body.

Drinking water seems like a simple habit but it has a significant impact on cardiovascular health. Maintaining the habit of drinking water properly, combining a healthy lifestyle and a reasonable diet will help support effective blood pressure control, thereby improving the quality of life and preventing many dangerous diseases.
