Fatty liver should avoid eating this fruit

Fatty liver is a condition in which fat accumulates in liver cells, affecting liver function.

Fatty liver can lead to serious diseases such as cirrhosis, hepatitis, or even liver cancer if not controlled promptly.

One of the factors to note for people with fatty liver is diet, especially the consumption of foods that can make the condition worse.

Among them, durian, although very delicious and nutritious, is not a good choice for people with fatty liver disease.

According to research by the American Liver Foundation, people with fatty liver disease should limit their consumption of foods high in sugar, fat and calories, as they can increase the burden on the liver and make the condition worse. Durian is a fruit with a fairly high calorie and sugar content. A 1kg durian can contain up to 400-500 calories and 30-40g of sugar. Therefore, it can contribute to increased fat in the liver.

Durian also has a relatively high fat content compared to other fruits. A study by the World Health Organization found that high saturated fat intake can increase the risk of insulin resistance and fatty liver. For people with fatty liver disease, consuming a lot of saturated fat will reduce the liver's ability to process fat, leading to fat accumulation in liver cells and causing inflammation.

Although durian contains some beneficial vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, potassium, and manganese, these benefits may not be enough to offset the negative effects it has on people with fatty liver disease.

People with fatty liver disease need to prioritize foods rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals, but low in calories and fat, such as green vegetables, low-sugar fruits and whole grains.
