On the afternoon of January 7, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province announced the temporary suspension of traffic on Prenn Pass, the section from the foot of the pass to the front of Datanla Waterfall Tourist Area, Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, to serve the construction to overcome the landslide incident.

Accordingly, the temporary traffic suspension period is from 5:00 AM on January 9 to 5:00 AM on January 15, 2026. The road ban is to ensure traffic safety during the repair and handling of landslide points at Km224+650 due to the impact of natural disasters.
During the above period, people and vehicles traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat and vice versa are advised to choose alternative routes such as Mimosa Pass - National Highway 20 or Sacom Pass - Tuyen Lam route to ensure smooth traffic.

The Department of Construction assigned the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1 to coordinate with the construction unit to arrange guard forces, install barriers, signs and organize traffic diversion according to the approved plan.
At the same time, requesting the Traffic Police force and local authorities to strengthen patrols and controls, ensuring traffic safety throughout the construction period.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, Prenn Pass is nearly 10km long, belonging to National Highway 20, and is one of the main gateways to the center of Da Lat.
In the last 3 months of 2025, due to prolonged heavy rain, many locations of negative and positive taluy on the pass experienced subsidence and landslides, affecting travel.
Functional agencies have repeatedly closed Prenn Pass to repair and fix the incident, but so far it has not been completed.
