Thanking the government and people of Vinh Long province for their companionship in the Earth Hour 2026 Campaign, Deputy General Director of EVNSPC Bui Quoc Hoan hopes that today's small actions will become a daily habit, contributing to the goal of sustainable development and environmental protection for future generations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee - emphasized: Climate change is having an increasingly clear impact, requiring the joint efforts of the whole society in using energy economically and protecting the environment. Responding to Earth Hour is not only about turning off lights for 60 minutes but also a call for each citizen to maintain the habit of saving electricity, towards a green and sustainable lifestyle.
Within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee donated 260 solar lights, 260 green trees to the education sector of Vinh Long province and 5,000 notebooks to students, contributing to spreading a green lifestyle in the community. On the same day, in Vinh Long province, EVNSPC also organized planting green trees and donating solar lights to schools in the area.
Not only in Vinh Long province, on March 28, in 7 provinces and cities: Can Tho, Dong Thap, An Giang, Ca Mau, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, power companies directly under EVNSPC also coordinated with local authorities to implement many practical activities, responding to the Earth Hour 2026 Campaign.
Previously, from the beginning of March to now, EVNSPC and member units have organized a series of activities in response to the movement "All people use energy economically and efficiently and respond to Earth Hour 2026 Campaign". Specifically, EVNSPC has mobilized officials, employees, and youth union members to actively participate in the Launching Ceremony of All people use energy economically and efficiently; participate in direct and online races in response to Earth Hour 2026 Campaign; participate in the online contest to learn about safe, economical and efficient electricity use knowledge.
