In general, in 8 months of 2026, Da Nang has issued new registration certificates for 4,352 businesses, and welcomed 1,574 businesses to return to operation. Thus, the total number of units joining and rejoining the market reached 5,926 businesses, an increase of 9.1% compared to the same period in 2025.
However, the number of newly established and re-operating businesses is still not enough to compensate for the number of businesses that are temporarily suspended or completely leaving the market. Along with 1,646 businesses that have completed dissolution procedures, the city area currently records 5,270 businesses registering for temporary suspension of operations, an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period last year.
According to assessments from the statistical agency, the fact that the number of businesses temporarily suspended and dissolved continues to be high reflects that the production and business situation of a part of the unit still faces many obstacles. Although the city has implemented many support and demand stimulus solutions, the ability to maintain sustainable operation of small and medium-sized enterprises is still not really stable in the current fierce competition context.
