Lao Cai - With the goal of maintaining double-digit growth, the province is focusing on removing the biggest bottlenecks of businesses, from land funds to capital and procedures.

According to the latest statistics, Lao Cai province currently has over 13,000 businesses operating, creating jobs for more than 200,000 workers.

In which, the private economic sector contributes about 65% of total state budget revenue in the area, and also plays an important role in ensuring social security.

However, most businesses are small and medium-sized, with limited financial, technological and management capacity; the ability to withstand market fluctuations is not high.

Land funds, production premises, logistics costs and commercial interest rates continue to be major pressures.

In that context, the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee requests all levels and sectors to innovate operating methods, truly accompany and remove difficulties for the business community.

In which, the province focuses on handling two core bottlenecks: administrative procedures and cash flow. Specifically, the tax sector is assigned to guide declaration and online tax payment and definitively resolve the policy of reducing land rent in 2026.

The province also closely monitors the reduction of bank interest rates, promotes connections to direct preferential capital flows into key production sectors.

According to Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong - Director of the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center - the Center is advising the Provincial People's Committee on developing infrastructure, economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters; and at the same time implementing site clearance, building mechanisms and policies to attract investors and businesses.

In the direction of making Lao Cai a center for connecting international economic trade, the province determines that the business community must be a pioneer in applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

At the Vietnam Private Sector Forum 2026 organized by the Lao Cai Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association on the afternoon of September 8, the business community, private enterprises and representatives of departments, sectors, and experts frankly exchanged views on a number of key issues such as: administrative procedure reform towards openness and efficiency; removing difficulties in capital, support funds and production land funds; developing shared infrastructure, connecting experts to serve the private economy...

Lao Cai sets a goal to maintain double-digit economic growth in the period 2026 - 2030, and at the same time aims to develop about 20,000 - 30,000 businesses in the period 2030 - 2050.

With the motto "Businesses prosper, Lao Cai develops", the province is placing expectations on a new relationship between the government and businesses: constructive government, proactive businesses; localities remove bottlenecks, businesses create value.

When "eagle nests" are built with land funds, infrastructure, capital, policies and a serving administration, the business community will have more support to spread its wings.

And when businesses develop strongly, the values created from production, jobs, budget revenue and social security will return, contributing to bringing Lao Cai to develop quickly, comprehensively and sustainably.
