Amidst the context that the domestic technology labor market is always in a state of shortage, on January 28, 2026, Vingroup Group announced a large-scale AI personnel training program, which is considered by the technology world as one of the boldest moves of Vietnamese businesses in this field. According to information from the group, Vingroup aims to train 10,000 to 20,000 real-world AI personnel in just two years, a figure that clearly reflects the ambition to lead the new generation of technology forces.
The most notable point in the program is not the quantity, but the way of recruiting people. All students are completely tuition-free, and also receive an allowance of 8 million VND/month throughout the 12-week training course. This support level is equivalent to the starting income of many technical positions at domestic technology enterprises, showing strong investment to attract young personnel.
According to the announcement, the program content is designed in the direction of "learning to do immediately", combining the foundation subject with a series of exercises to solve practical problems that businesses are facing. This roadmap is co-developed by VinUni and technology companies belonging to the Vingroup ecosystem, ensuring that students both accumulate enough basic knowledge and get acquainted with operating procedures in the industrial environment.
Not only studying theory, students also directly participate in projects being implemented at member companies. This helps learners immediately "examine" practical production requirements - something that the labor market has long considered a weakness of many traditional training programs.
The appearance of the program is assessed by many experts as a strategic step. In recent years, the demand for AI human resources in Vietnam has continuously increased, but the supply has not kept up. Businesses are forced to compete fiercely, even recruiting personnel from abroad to fill vacancies. Vingroup's proactive large-scale training is not only aimed at serving internal needs, but also contributes to supplementing resources for the entire domestic technology market.
The first course of the program opens registration from February 1, 2026 to February 10, 2026, limited to 500 students. After 12 weeks, those who meet the requirements can continue to study advanced courses or apply directly to businesses in the Vingroup ecosystem.
In the context that artificial intelligence technology has become the core driving force of economic growth, this program is seen as an effort to lay the foundation for future human resources. With the strategy of "betting" on training instead of just recruiting, Vingroup not only solves the problem of the corporation itself, but also sends a message about the role of the private sector in contributing to improving national technology capacity.
