Vietnamese culture on Valentine's Day
In the ancient space of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Mr. Ngo Tuan Anh (Vinh Bao, Hai Phong) and Huong Thao (Ha Dong, Hanoi) - a young couple, are diligently posing in front of the camera. They are taking a special photo shoot to celebrate their anniversary. However, what makes this photo series unique is their costumes: two traditional Vietnamese costumes, bearing a strong historical imprint.

This couple had very beautiful memories during previous valentines' holidays, but this year they decided to do something different, especially preserving memories through traditional costumes.
Tuan Anh shared: "We chose two costumes of the Nguyen Dynasty, the Tac shirt for me and the Nhat Binh shirt for Thao. I feel very proud to wear these historical costumes, it helps me understand more about national culture and is also the way I express my love to my girlfriend.
Huong Thao also expressed her joy when sharing about her decision to choose traditional costumes.

Really, wearing a turquoise Nhat Binh shirt makes me feel like I am immersed in a part of the history of the country. These outfits bring a sense of pride and sacredness. I hope that, every year, we will be able to choose a different traditional costume to preserve memories, and especially to remind us of a greater love, which is love for national culture - Huong Thao said.
Recreating history through costumes
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Van Thien Y cultural heritage researcher said that young people choosing ancient costumes to celebrate Halloween is an interesting and very appreciated trend. Vietnam's ancient costumes are not only beautiful designs, but also contain a great part of history and cultural value.

"Wearing traditional costumes during love holidays not only shows love for your partner, but also shows love for national culture. This is a way to preserve and promote traditional cultural values in modern life" - Mr. Hieu said.
Mr. Hieu also emphasized that traditional Vietnamese costumes, from Nhat Binh shirt to Tac shirt, are typical symbols of history and national culture. These costumes are not just costumes but also stories about dynasties, about historical periods through which every young person can feel and understand the power of national culture.

Surely, each traditional costume is not only a recreation of history but also a connection of the past with the present. The Nhat Binh costumes of the Nguyen Dynasty royal court or the Tac shirt, each shirt carries its own story, each detail is meticulously depicted to create a unique beauty.

February 14th is a holiday originating from the West, but when it came to Vietnam, it was integrated and had a strong national cultural imprint. Young people not only make this day more special by wearing traditional costumes but also show a unique creativity in combining tradition and modernity" Mr. Hieu shared more.
Love is not only an emotion between two people but also a connection to greater values, from family, community to country. These are moments and memories that are not only beautiful but also extremely meaningful, contributing to enriching the love and appreciation for national culture in the hearts of every young Vietnamese person.
