8-lane road in Hanoi after traffic light adjustment

Tô Thế |

The Tran Huu Duc - Trinh Van Bo road (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) has had its traffic light signal adjusted after a persistent traffic jam.

The Trinh Van Bo - Tran Huu Duc route (section through Cau Dien ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) has recently experienced frequent congestion, especially on rainy days and rush hour. At times, the line of vehicles was more than 500m in line.

The cause of the above situation is believed to be unreasonable traffic light, at the intersection of Nguyen Van Giap - Tran Huu Duc and Trinh Van Bo - Phuc Dien.

In the face of the above situation, since the morning of February 20, the traffic sector has adjusted the traffic light beam at Trinh Van Bo - Xuan Phuong intersection - Road 70, from Road 70 to Trinh Van Bo and Trinh Van Bo - Phuc Dien - Nguyen Van Giap intersection.

In addition, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 - Hanoi Traffic Police Department has increased the force on duty to regulate and divert traffic, especially during rush hour.

Recorded during the peak hours on the evening of February 21, although there was rain and high traffic density, there was no longer any prolonged congestion on the Tran Huu Duc - Trinh Van Bo road.

At the intersections of Le Duc Tho - Tran Huu Duc; Tran Huu Duc - Nguyen Co Thach; Tran Huu Duc - Nguyen Van Giap; Trinh Van Bo - Phuc Dien, vehicles move smoothly.

The red light beat at the intersections is about 80 - 90 seconds (previously over 100 seconds), the green light is from 45 - 70 seconds, depending on the time (previously about 25 - 40 seconds).

However, the red light at Nguyen Van Giap intersection with Tran Huu Duc Street is still waiting for about 145 seconds, the green light is about 25 seconds.

According to Ms. Nga - a saleswoman near the Tran Huu Duc - Nguyen Van Giap intersection, in the past 2 days, traffic in this area has been less tense, and there have been occasional conflicts between traffic flows but not significantly.

As planned, from February 24, the Traffic Construction Maintenance Board will pilot the barrier of the Tran Huu Duc - Nguyen Van Giap intersection to reduce conflicts. At the same time, turn off traffic lights at this intersection.
