Binh Ham Dao's passing had a profound impact on Quynh Dao. Therefore, in her final days, she chose to face death, not wanting to endure the torment of illness. The female writer just wanted to leave peacefully and quietly.
In her will, the mother of “Princess Hoan Chau” confided: “This is my wish. Death is a path that everyone must take, and it is also the last great thing that a person must go through. I do not want to leave it to fate, I do not want to slowly wither away. I want to decide for myself the last great thing in my life.
It should be noted that I chose to leave at the end of my life. But young people, do not give up on your life so easily. A temporary failure can be just a training ground for a beautiful life.
Hopefully, you can overcome all challenges. Like me, living until the age of 86, when my physical strength was no longer there, I chose to face death. Hopefully, by then, humanity would have found a humane way for the elderly to happily return to their roots."
Before leaving, the poetess instructed her children not to perform any religious rituals.
Writer Quynh Dao wishes that after her death, her children will be cremated, no obituary will be published, no funeral will be held, no shrine will be opened, and no funeral will be held.
She wants everything to be done in the simplest way possible, without disturbing anyone, especially those who love her.
