Previously, on May 17, Yen Xuan and her son went to Ninh Binh Stadium to cheer for Van Lam in the match against Tre Ho Chi Minh City. Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club won 3-0 and officially won the championship 3 rounds early.
This is the first club title in Van Lam's career - who has played 16/17 matches this season and only conceded 2 goals, contributing to helping the team maintain a 17-match unbeaten streak.
Joining Ho Chi Minh City Youth Club in August 2024 with a 4-year contract, Van Lam was quickly transferred to Phu Dong Ninh Binh and became a mainstay.
The club also approved him when hiring a Belarus goalkeeper and a Russian fitness coach at his personal request.
With stable performance and Phu Dong Ninh Binh club promoted to V.League, Van Lam will likely be called back to the national team after an absence since the friendly match with Russia in September 2024.
