In the early days of July, many nail salons in Hanoi recorded an increase in customers compared to normal days. Many people choose to refresh their nails before trips to have a more neat appearance.
Preparing for a trip with her family, Ms. Nguyen Mai Linh (28 years old, Hanoi) decided to change her new nail set after nearly a month.
I want to refresh my nails before the trip to be more confident when taking photos. I choose simple, bright colors because they are easy to coordinate with many outfits and can last longer," Ms. Mai Linh shared.
Also spending time doing nails before the holidays, Ms. Tran Thu Trang (23 years old, Hanoi) chooses gentle designs for convenience in daily life.
I like simple but still highlighted designs. After the trip, I can still keep my nails to go to work without having to change them immediately," Ms. Trang said.
Nail care demand increases in summer
According to Ms. Nguyen Thao Linh - owner of a nail salon in Tay Ho ward (Hanoi), the demand for nail care has increased significantly since the beginning of summer, especially before holidays and tourist seasons.
Since the beginning of summer, the number of customers at my salon has increased by about 20% compared to normal days. The majority of customers are women aged 18-30, they actively book appointments early to have beautiful nails for the holiday," Ms. Linh said.
Ms. Linh emphasized that besides the increase in the number of customers, the taste of nail photography in the summer has also changed a lot: "This summer, customers like nail sets with floral motifs, yellow, blue, red colors or clear tones. Floral patches, glitter effects, cat-eye effects or small accessories are chosen by many people because they stand out when taking photos but are still easy to coordinate with many outfits".
Also according to Ms. Linh, streamlined and highly applicable designs will continue to be favored in the coming time.
Clear nail designs, cat-eye effects or gentle designs will still be loved because they are both trendy and suitable for many styles," Ms. Linh said.
Agreeing with this view, Ms. Pham Quynh Anh - owner of a nail salon in Giang Vo ward (Hanoi) said that this summer customers are not only interested in aesthetics but also prioritize nail designs that can be used for a long time after the holiday.
About 70% of the shop's customers choose simple designs, nude, milky white or transparent pink tones because they are easy to coordinate and suitable for both traveling and working. Overly elaborate designs or with many accessories are no longer as chosen as before," Ms. Quynh Anh shared.
According to Ms. Quynh Anh, besides consulting trends on social networks, many customers also ask stylists to advise on models suitable for nail length and travel schedules to be both beautiful and convenient in daily life.
