At 10:00 a.m. on June 8, more than 102,000 candidates in Hanoi completed the Math exam, ending the 10th grade public high school exam for the 2025-2026 school year.
At the My Dinh 1 Secondary School exam site (Nam Tu Liem district), outside the school gate, many parents eagerly waited for their children after the drum sound signaling the end of the exam.
As one of the early graduates at this exam score, Nguyen Tuan Minh (student of Mai Dich Secondary School) said that he did quite well in the Math exam.
"This year's Math exam is included in the curriculum and has a relatively similar structure to the test subjects I have taken. With the knowledge I have improved, I am confident of getting a score of 9" - the male contestant said.
Sharing more, Tuan Minh said that he had also done his best in the previous 2 subjects, Literature and English. I hope to have good results.
"I registered my first wish to enter My Dinh High School and I hope to achieve that wish. Now is the time to rest after a long period of hard work studying and reviewing" - Tuan Minh said.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Tuan Minh's parents - said that his mood was also nervous and worried in the past few days when his child entered the important exam.
After finishing the final exam this morning, seeing his child happy and relaxed makes this parent happy too.
"With my child's efforts and hard work in the past, I think he will achieve good results in this exam" - Mr. Tuan Anh said.
Besides the students who were confident with the results of the Math exam, some other candidates clearly showed their sadness on their faces, some students burst into tears when meeting their parents in front of the school gate.
"You missed your wish" - a contestant exclaimed and then hugged her mother, burst into tears, making many parents around surprised and moved.
Talking to reporters, Nguyen Khanh Linh said that his first wish was to go to My Dinh High School. For the Math exam, half of the IV and V Linh questions have not been answered, while I aim to get above 8 points in Math.
"I have not yet answered the remaining 2 subjects, Literature and English, but I personally assessed that the exam scores were not as expected, and my first wish to enter My Dinh High School was almost out of reach" - Linh shared.
Understanding her child's psychology, Ms. Hoa (Linh's mother) hugged her daughter and encouraged her: "I have tried my best, no matter the outcome, my parents and the whole family will always be by my side and accompany me".
After 2 days with 3 exams in Literature, Foreign Language and Math, many teachers assessed that the exam in Hanoi this year had new features, more positive than in previous years.
In Literature, the 10th grade exam is highly appreciated by many teachers and parents.
Meanwhile, the English exam is said to still ensure differentiation but limit candidates from "learning - using tips" to solve some questions.
Math is said to focus more on practical problems.
