At an event on September 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, Sam shared about the changes in her family after having children. According to the actress, in the process of living together, she gradually realized that language barriers create a certain distance between her husband and two children.
“I feel like my husband in the family is like a very lonely man. Before, I didn't really pay attention to this. However, after living together for a while, observing his daily activities, I began to realize that my husband had difficulty participating in the family's common conversations” - she shared.
According to Sam, when everyone sits down to eat and chat, her husband sometimes cannot interact with the remaining members. Language barriers make it difficult for him to integrate into the stories that take place in the family.
What makes the actress even more heartbroken is when looking at the relationship between her husband and two children. She said that her husband wants to talk and play with the children and often actively talks to the two babies. However, she feels that the children do not really understand what their father is saying.
My husband also wants to talk to his children. He also wants to play with his children, but sometimes I have the feeling that he talks to his children a lot, but my children don't understand.
Since then, Sam has hoped that her two children will soon learn Korean to be able to communicate with their father. Previously, she shared about considering a learning environment for her two children and finally prioritizing Korean schools, although this is not a very famous school or has the best facilities.
According to Sam, Korean is her biological father's language, while Vietnamese has been frequently spoken by her children at home. She wants the two children to have one more language to communicate with their father and paternal family.
Sam also admitted that she does not use Korean well. Therefore, she even more hopes that her children can quickly get acquainted with this language: "I really want my children to quickly learn Korean so that they can connect with their father more and so that their father feels not lonely at home.
