On August 28, the property dispute worth more than 30 million CNY (more than 116 billion VND) between Chinese actress Geng Tian and "virtual currency billionaire" Sun Wuchen became a topic of discussion on Chinese social networks.
Sun Wushen's lawyer, Zhang Qihuai, announced information about the case, confirming that Sun Wushen had filed a civil lawsuit against Jian Tian and her parents for property disputes, with a lawsuit value of more than 30 million CNY. The case was accepted by the court and the plaintiff also requested the application of property preservation measures.
Meanwhile, the defendant (Canh Diem) has expressed opposition to the jurisdiction of the trial, so the case has not yet entered the content trial process and no verdict has been issued.
The lawyer said that the request in the lawsuit is to demand the return of the betrothal gifts, while information related to "surrogacy" that is spreading online does not appear in the lawsuit file.
At the same time, Ton Vu Than posted a long article titled "My Girlfriend - Canh Diem", telling about the problems in the relationship between the two people. Although the end of the article clearly stated that the story was "fictional", many details related to love affairs still quickly spread and became a hot topic.
On the evening of August 27, Canh Diem's studio issued a tough statement, saying that this is an act of taking advantage of the artist's reputation to put pressure and profit. The actress's side said that the case will be resolved through law and in addition to information related to the process of protecting rights, they will not make any further comments.
On August 28, Canh Diem herself spoke up amidst the noise. She shared on her personal page: "I of the past, present and future will never sell love cheaply for money, and even less sell my soul.
I will still believe in love even though my judgment is so poor and still clumsy.
Even so, I still believe in the law, in kindness and believe that in the end, justice and fairness will prevail. Time will tell everything.

Currently, public opinion about the case continues to be complicated and the final result still has to wait for the trial process of the judicial agency.
Besides this dispute, Canh Diem's unbroadcast projects also received attention.
According to incomplete statistics, the actress currently has 5 film projects and a television program awaiting release, including the detective film "Wait until I wake up" in collaboration with Truong Tan Thanh, "Long cot phan tuong" starring Truong Ban Ban, family film "Dong tam ket", romantic film "Returning to Shenzhen continues", "Phan dau nao! Thanh xuan" in collaboration with Ly Tri Dinh and season 2 of the program "Me and my manager".
Among these, "Long Cot Phan Tuong" is especially anticipated by audiences. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by author Vi Ngu, and also marks the reunion of Canh Diem and Truong Ban Ban after the success of "Tu Dang".
Previously, Canh Diem received many positive feedbacks when acting in "Tư Đằng", a work also adapted from Vi Ngu's novel. Therefore, many viewers expect "Long cốt phần tương" to continue to be a noteworthy project and help the actress make more progress in her career.
However, after the dispute related to the gift of more than 30 million CNY, whether the above-mentioned projects can be broadcast smoothly or not still needs to wait for further developments.
