The two met for the first time at a relative's wedding. At that time, Diep had only been in secondary school, while Thang was a young man in his 20s. Diep's first impression was "he is too old", but his meticulousness and "rarely seen interference in men of the same age" style made her remember.
Many years later, when Diep was in high school, the two suddenly became friends on Facebook. Thang just quietly "seeds" affection by watching his personal newsletters, waiting for the opportunity to respond to messages. It was a bored day when Diep suddenly responded. That chance opened up a series of conversations that lasted until night, and then just two or three days later, Thang boldly arranged to meet.
The first appointment took place completely from morning to night: watching movies, going out to eat, walking around town and then going for coffee. Small actions such as pulling the motorbike and wearing a helmet help Diep quickly "really move". She admitted: "No one can do those things if they are in love with their age. I haven't given up on eggs yet."
Since that day, the two have hardly left each other. Every day when he doesn't go out, Thang stands in front of Diep's house to chat until late at night.
Although they have been together for a long time, neither of them has been proactive in confessing their love. When Thang was jealous because he saw Diep posting photos of another boyfriend, the girl "challenged" the guy that if she loved him, he would publicly announce that she was his girlfriend. So the two officially dated after that "challenge".
Both families support. Diep's mother initially wondered why he "standing outside the door all day without coming in to greet anyone", but when Thang brought the moon cake box to the gift, she immediately sympathized. Thang's side was even happier, because in his hometown, "a 26-27 year old without a lover is considered a lackluster person".
Knowing that their son truly loves them, Thang's parents quickly bought and repaired cabinets, beds, shelves, TVs... as if ready to welcome their future daughter-in-law.
When Diep was old enough to register her marriage (18 years old), both families held a wedding at the beginning of the year, then the couple traveled to Quy Nhon and Sa Pa. Currently, they have a child 4 years older than them.
That was the happiness, but when entering married life, there were many habits that made both of them "laugh and cry". Diep frankly shared her husband's bad habits that he was so messy that when he came home from work, he was wearing clothes, socks... placed in the middle of the house even though his wife had just finished cleaning.
On the contrary, Thang said that Diep was "or unreasonably wrong", sometimes just a light touch from her husband would make her angry all night. There were times when he committed dozens of mistakes every day, making him not know what to do.
However, both admitted that it is these imperfect things that make the family more lively and laughed at. On stage of the program, Thang suddenly gave his wife a gift, affirming "please be my wife", amid the applause of the audience.
