On the morning of November 22, Mr. Le Chi Hoai - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Thinh Commune (Dak Lak) - confirmed that the information spread about the commune having hundreds of dead people or many residents in houses collapsed by floodwaters is incorrect and has not been verified. People need to be alert and selective when receiving information.
According to Mr. Hoai, floodwaters in Hoa Thinh are gradually receding. Many people rode motorbikes to near the welcome gate area, then waded through the water to visit their homes.
Ms. Le Thanh Huong (38 years old, Phu Huu village, Hoa Thinh commune) shared: "I have not been able to contact my old mother and children for 3 days. Hearing the news that the water had receded, I ran back immediately to see how everyone was doing. I have been worried about insomnia for many days.

Currently, rescue and food supply for people in deeply flooded areas are still being urgently deployed by the authorities. Relief trucks were gathered in the nearest area to promptly deliver to the people.
According to statistics, historic floods that have lasted for many days in Dak Lak have caused serious damage to people and property, with total initial damage estimated at more than VND4,500 billion.
Specifically: More than 200,000 houses were flooded; more than 18,000 households had to be relocated; 358 schools and 10 health stations were flooded and damaged; more than 63,000 hectares of short-term crops and more than 100,000 hectares of perennial crops were damaged; more than 3.5 million livestock and poultry died or were swept away.
