After more than 3 years of construction, the Inter-regional Road project connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai has now had more than 53km of the main route handed over and put into use.
After the total investment is adjusted to VND 2,120 billion, along with the main route, the project will build 2 important branch routes: Branch connecting from Km23+920 of the inter-regional road to Cam Khe Industrial Park (Cam Khe district), branch connecting from Km0 of the inter-regional road to National Highway 32 at Km76+150 (Tam Nong district).

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in late March, the Km0 - Km2+452 section of the main inter-regional road under construction through Lam Son commune, Tam Nong district has basically taken shape, most of the road has been paved with crushed stone, a few sections of which are in the Km0 area still have houses that have not been cleared.
From Km0 of the inter-regional road, the shortest distance to reach Km76+150 of National Highway 32 is to follow Provincial Road 315 - the route running along the east and south of Van Xuan Industrial Cluster, then cross the bridge across Ho Chi Minh Road, connecting with National Highway 32 in the Tam Nong District Medical Center area.

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Xuan Commune, Tam Nong District, after the plan was announced, Van Xuan Commune is coordinating with the Tam Nong District Compensation and Site Clearance Council to conduct land ownership and clearance work to serve the project's site clearance work in the coming time.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Do The Nam - Deputy Director of Phu Tho Province Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the project to build a branch line connecting Km0 of the inter-regional road to National Highway 32, Tam Nong district has been approved.
"The project's route with the scale of a grade III plain road will upgrade Provincial Road 315 (the scale of a grade IV mountainous road) in some sections, the rest are newly built sections, adjusted to ensure technical requirements and limit site clearance for people. Currently, the project is in the process of appraising the drawing design, the unit is striving to put the project up for bidding in April 2025" - Mr. Nam shared.

In the future, when this route is completed and put into use, it will be the main traffic route to help connect the inter-regional road with Viet Tri city (through Phong Chau bridge), connecting the inter-regional road with Ba Vi district, Hanoi city (through National Highway 32, Trung Ha bridge).
Previously, in November 2023, at the Third thematic session, the People's Council of Phu Tho province passed a resolution to adjust the investment policy for inter-regional projects. This includes additional investment in the construction of a extended road from the starting point of the main route (at Km0) to National Highway 32 (at Km76+150).
Thereby, the total investment of the project is supplemented by 105 billion VND to 2,120 billion VND; the capital structure is adjusted: The medium-term capital of the central budget for the period 2021 - 2025 is 1,700 billion VND, the provincial budget and other legally mobilized capital sources are 420 billion VND.
