According to Korean media, entertainment company YG Entertainment has just announced a consolidated operating profit in the third quarter of 2025 of 31.1 billion won, moving from a loss of 3.6 billion won in the same period last year to a profit.
The company's revenue reached 173.1 billion won, up 107.2% over the same period last year. Net profit has also returned to a profitable level, reaching 24.4 billion won.
Previously, according to data from financial information company Fn Guide, the stock market estimated YG's average operating profit at 33.9 billion won, revenue at 198.4 billion won and net profit at 25.2 billion won.
Although the actual results were slightly lower than market expectations, YG said: "This year's third quarter revenue is the highest figure in the company's third quarter history".
YG explained: This result comes from the release of new albums and digital music achievements of Treasure and Baby Monster, along with the success of global tours of Blackpink, Treasure and Baby Monster.
We will continue to expand the activities of affiliated artists to build a foundation for sustainable growth in the future.
The media emphasized that the center of YG's growth this time is Blackpink (Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, Lisa).
Blackpink's Deadline global tour started in July and lasted until January next year, including 33 shows with more than 2 million spectators expected to attend.
Although the scale of additional performances has not been revealed, with each concert attracting about 60,000 audiences, this tour is expected to continue to have a positive impact on YG's revenue in the first half of next year.
Hana Securities analyst Lee Ki Hoon commented: The concert revenue includes two of Blackpinks Korean stadium performances and 13 performances on the global stadium tour (including North America). We also predict that Merchandise Kpop revenue will reach a record high.
Fans are eagerly waiting for Blackpink's comeback with a new album. However, YG has not yet revealed the official album release schedule, only saying that the album is in the final stages of completion and Blackpink has finished filming a new MV.
Recently, there was information that Blackpink's album will be released in January next year.
