Rose (Blackpink) makes history with 3 2026 Grammy nominations

On the evening of November 7 (Vietnam time), the 2026 Grammy Awards announced the nomination list. In particular, singer Rose (Blackpink member) received 3 nominations for the hit song APT. featuring Bruno Mars, including: Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duet/Group Performance.

Rose became the first K-pop solo artist and female K-pop artist to be nominated for Grammy. APT. is also the most nominated K-pop artist in Grammy history.

Previously, BTS was nominated for Grammy in 2021-2023 with the songs "Dynamite", "Butter", "My Universe", "Yet to Come" (each song nominated 1).

However, Rose made history as the first K-pop artist to be nominated in 2 categories in the Big Four (4 most prestigious awards: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, New Artist).

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter in October, when asked about the possibility of APT. being nominated for Grammy, Rose said: I was shocked when I thought about that. For me, Grammy is still a dream, a seemingly unfinished thing. If that day really comes, it will be a moment that can prove many things.

APT. was released in October 2024, featured on Roses solo album Rosie. The song has achieved impressive results after 1 year of release, breaking a series of Kpop records.

APT. is the highest-charting song by a female K-pop artist on the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 3), making it the longest-running K-pop artist in the charts history. APT. also reached 2 billion streams on Spotify and 2 billion views on YouTube, the fastest in Kpop history.

This September, APT. made Rose an Asian artist and the first K-pop artist to win the Song of the Year category at the MTV Video Music Awards 2025 - one of the four biggest music awards in the US.

Rose's partner Bruno Mars once told the Hollywood Reporter: "She was destined to do great things by all means. I am proud of her and grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of the APT conversation. and the birth of a completely new K-pop force named Bruno Mars".

J.J. Italiano - Director of Global Music Selection and Exploration at Spotify - predicted through Rolling Stone magazine that APT. could win the Record of the Year category at Grammy 2026.

Italiano commented: The song APT. is not only a cultural clash full of influence, it is also a meticulously arranged song, very suitable for the spirit of this genre.
