On November 3, information from the Government Inspectorate said that the Department of Inspection and settlement of complaints and denunciations in the field of industry and trade (Department IX) has deployed an Inspection Team for projects with difficulties and problems under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade according to Decision No. 696/QD-TTCP dated July 23, 2025 of the Government Inspectorate General.
Up to now, the Inspection Team has completed the report on the results and drafted the inspection conclusion to submit to the Government Inspectorate for consideration.
According to the previous plan, the Inspection Team consisted of 16 members led by Mr. Bui The Dung - Deputy Director of Department IX. The inspection period is from the implementation of the project to July 1, 2025. If necessary, content related to before or after the above inspection period can be considered.
6 projects subject to inspection include: An Khanh - Bac Giang Thermal Power Plant; Na Duong II Thermal Power Plant; Da Nhim Hydropower Plant expansion; Song Hau 2 Thermal Power Plant; 7 projects under the Comprehensive Economic Growth Skills and Knowledge Program using ODA capital and State budget counterpart capital and the Project to relocate and rebuild Tran Hung Dao Mechanical Company.
At the end of July, at the announcement ceremony of the inspection decision, the leaders of the Government Inspectorate said that this inspection aimed to clarify the causes of shortcomings, delays, low efficiency, risk of loss and waste of resources for 6 projects with difficulties and problems under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
On that basis, report to competent authorities for consideration, handling and resolution to unlock resources, contributing to promoting economic development.
At the conference to review the work in the first 9 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 3 months of 2025 of Department IX, Mr. Do Manh Hung - Director of Department IX said that the unit will speed up the progress of inspections, especially the 3 key inspections approved by the Government Inspector General in the 2025 plan, ensuring clear, objective and correct conclusions.
