The Korean Business Research Institute has just announced the May 2025 brand reputation rankings for Kpop girl groups.
The rankings were determined through an analysis of consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various girl groups, using data collected from April 11 to May 11.
Blackpink rose to the top of the chart this month after 2 months of being surpassed by IVE. The 4-member girl group achieved a brand reputation index of 5,420,364 points, a slight increase compared to April.
High-ranking phrases in Blackpink's keyword analysis included "Jennie," "Rose," and "concert." Their highest-ranking related terms included participation, pre-selling, and record.
Blackpink's positivity-negativity analysis also showed 91.98% positive reactions.
April and early May are the periods when Blackpink takes over the airwaves when the members have many outstanding activities. Jennie and Lisa had explosive solo performances at the Coachella music festival.
Recently, Jennie, Lisa and Rose attended the prestigious fashion event Met Gala 2025. In addition, Rose attracted attention when releasing the soundtrack song "Messy" from the Hollywood film "F1" due to be released in June.
Meanwhile, Gen 4 girl group IVE ranked 2nd on the chart this month, with a brand reputation index of 5,185,979.
TWICE rose to 3rd place after seeing their brand reputation index increase by 41.47%, bringing their total score for the month to 5,185,979.
Red Velvet followed closely in 4th place with a brand reputation index of 3,422,031, marking a 55.58% increase compared to the previous month.
Finally, aespa entered the Top 5 with a brand reputation index of 3,192,945.
The remaining positions in the Top 10 include LE SSERAFIM, Apink, (G)I-DLE, Oh My Girl, KiiiKiii.
Rankings 11 to 30 belong to: WJSN, izna, Hearts2Hearts, fromis_9, Baby Monster, ILLIT, Fifty Fifty, H1-KEY, ITZY, tripleS, Girl's Day, cignature, ifeye, MAMAMOO, MEOVV, NMIXX, KISS OF Life, KATSEYE, UNIS, STAYC.
