At the beginning of the episode, viewers watched the psychological changes of the youngest brother Minh (Son Tung). Being in a sad mood because of self-blame is part of the reason why the love affair between his older sister Thuong (Quynh Kool) and brother Quan (Huynh Anh) broke down.
Minh was invited by teacher Giang to eat to relieve stress. Here, teacher Giang (Xuan Anh) kindly advised her student to focus on studying, affirming "no one born in this world is useless". This encouragement helped Minh get rid of the burden. He happily ran home to show off his first 8 points in his life to Ms. Thuong.
Although he later revealed a score of 6 in Literature taught by his own sister, Minh still loudly promised that from now on he would study seriously so that his sister would not be sad.
The film's plot moves to the office scene where Trang (Ngoc Thuy) works, where while asking for the signature of boss Tuan, Trang accidentally meets Ms. Dung (Quach Thu Phuong) and shows clear concern. Asking Dung, she learns that Ms. Dung is the Deputy Director of the Institute for Ethnic Culture Studies and is working as a consultant for the "Heritage Road" project.

What Trang did not expect was that in a private conversation afterwards, Ms. Dung bluntly expressed her discomfort with My Linh: "In fact, I didn't think I would meet Trang, Thuong's younger sister in this project... I don't want to get involved with her sisters".
The matter became even more suspicious when Trang submitted the paper late, but instead of being punished, My Linh suddenly stood up to defend. Not only appreciating Trang's ability, My Linh also ignored the opposing opinions of other employees to assign her the important task of connecting content with partners. This favor made Trang wonder and suspect.
Meanwhile, Thuong's older sister completely lost her balance. Holding the pottery item she made with Quan in her hand, she sat crying helplessly, culminating when Thuong took out blankets and mats to wash in the humid weather, leading to an argument between the three sisters.

Family meals are also full of instability, Trang angrily complained: "Are you not seasoning anything, the eggs are bland and fishy", while the meat dish is salty because you forgot to wash it with salt.
Following that was the fact that Thuong missed 1.5 points on her student's exam paper. Admitting her mistake before the school board, she was advised by her superior, Ms. Hanh: "We desire happiness, but we cannot have happiness if we deny responsibility".
At the office, Trang had a meeting with Lam. After Lam (Manh Truong) instructed her to be careful with Dung "he is not a simple person", Trang immediately asked Lam to keep an eye on her older sister's unstable mood. Recognizing the common ground, the younger sister seized the opportunity to "push the boat" full of implications: "Or teach them exactly the same way, if they don't become a couple, it's a waste".
The episode ends with a phone call to soothe the soul between Thuong and her grandmother. Grandma advises her grandchild to be busy to forget the sadness: "If you don't love this guy, you love another guy, you must think of yourself, think of your siblings".
Can Thuong firmly stand up after a fall, and where will the calculations in the office take Trang?
Let's look forward to the next episodes of "Steps into Life".
