On April 8, 2026, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee held its 5th Meeting under the chairmanship of Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh.
At the Meeting, the Central Inspection Committee considered and concluded on some of the following contents:
Considering the Report proposing disciplinary action against Party organizations and Party members who violate regulations at local Party committees and units: Vietnam Airports Corporation and Ninh Binh province, the Central Inspection Committee found:
Vu The Phiet, Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Lai Xuan Thanh, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Chairman of the Board of Directors; Nguyen Tien Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director in charge of Vietnam Airports Corporation; Le Van Ha, former Member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Le Ho Ward, Ninh Binh province have declined in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences, greatly negatively affecting the prestige of the Party organization and locality, agencies, and working units, to the extent that disciplinary action must be taken.
Based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to impose disciplinary action of Expelling from the Party the individuals: Lai Xuan Thanh, Nguyen Tien Viet and proposed competent authorities to consider and impose disciplinary action on the individuals Vu The Phiet, Le Van Ha.
The Central Inspection Committee continues to inspect, consider, and discipline other relevant Party organizations and Party members.
