According to Korean media, at a press conference held at the Seoul Capital Police Department in Migeun-dong, Seodaemun-gu on the morning of February 17, a police official stated: "Kim Sae Ron's death will be handled as an unusual death and subject to procedures similar to previous cases."
"Up to now, no information has been found regarding Kim Sae Ron's will. No further cluees about Kim Sae Ron's death have been released.
Actress Kim Sae Ron was found dead at her home in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul at around 4:54 p.m. on February 16. It is known that Kim Sae Ron had arranged to meet a friend, but because he could not contact the actress, this person went to Kim Sae Ron's house.
When he discovered Kim Sae Ron unconscious and had cardiac arrest, he immediately reported it to the police. Although she was taken to the hospital for immediate treatment, the actress did not survive.
Police added that they could not disclose whether the autopsy on Kim Sae Ron would be carried out or not, given the circumstances of the deceased's family.
The police had previously issued an initial statement stating that there were "no signs of committing a crime or illegally encroaching".
