On June 27, the group Allday Project appeared on the online entertainment program Zip Daesung hosted by Daesung (Big Bang).
5 members Annie, tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan and Youngseo joined Daesung in an "entertainment camp" in the style of a variety show.
In the Allday Project group, Annie is the member that attracts the most attention because of her outstanding background.
Annie is the niece of Lee Myung Hee, Chairman (BOD) of Shinsegae Group - the largest luxury retail and distribution empire in Korea. Ms. Lee Myung Hee is also the youngest daughter of Samsung Group founder Lee Byung Chul.
Annie's mother, Chung Yoo Kyung, is currently the Chairman of the department store sales department of Shinsegae Group.
In the show, Daesung asked Annie how she could ask her family for permission to debut as an idol singer.
Annie surprised viewers when she revealed: "It took me 10 years to get my family's approval. At first, people definitely did not agree. But because I kept pursuing it, my family finally gave me a condition, if I passed one of the Ivy League schools, they would let me debut.
Annie eventually met this condition by taking the Columbia University entrance exam, one of the Ivy League schools and a prestigious school in the US.
After that, she officially debuted as a member of the boy girl group Allday Project, under The Black Label Company, headed by famous producer Teddy.
In addition, Annie shared that her family has long loved the music of YG Entertainment artists including 1TYM, Big Bang, 2NE1 and Blackpink.
Annie recalls that during a family trip, her mother continuously played Big Bang's MV "Fantastic Baby" on screen.
"My mother watched it so many times that she fell in love with the accessories in the MV," Annie said.
Allday Project was released on June 23 with 2 songs "Famous" and "Wicked". Not only is it of interest because this is a rare mixed Kpop group at the present time, the identities and backgrounds of the members are always hot topics.
In addition to Annie's rich family background, the other members also attracted attention with their journey before debut.
Youngseo has been a trainee at various Kpop companies for many years. In 2023, she is almost certain to join the new music group ILLIT of Belift Lab Company (under HYBE Group), after finishing 2nd in the program "RU Next?". But Youngseo suddenly left the company right before ILLIT's debut, making the audience regretful.
Bailey is a famous dancer and choreographer in the Kpop world. She has been a choreographer for many leading music groups and artists such as aespa, Shinee, Red Velvet, Taeyang (Big Bang), Lisa (Blackpink), Kai (EXO)...
Woochan was expected to be a member of the boy band of Big Hit Music (BTS' management company) in 2022, but in the end the group was not released.
tarzzan was a model. He appeared in NewJeans' MV "Supernatural", I-dle's MV "I Do" and appeared on the covers of many different fashion magazines.
