The Hanoi People's Committee has just agreed on a list of construction works and investment projects expected to start construction on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 1, 2025).
Accordingly, 8 projects started on this occasion include: Investment project to build Le Hong Phong Cadre Training School; Investment project to build Hanoi Dental Hospital ( Facility 2); Investment project to build Ngoc Trai Theater and thematic Cultural and Artistic Park; Investment project to build Hanoi City Urban Railway Line No. 2, Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao section and the ceremony to announce the detailed planning of Station C9, route plan, construction location on the route from Station C8 to Station C10, scale 1/500, and at the same time, associated with the groundbreaking of the Compensation, Support, Resettlement, and Site Clearance Project in the group of Investment projects to build squares - parks on the East side of Hoan Kiem Lake.
Along with that, the city started construction of component projects 2 - Investment in the construction of Tran Hung Dao bridge (headline road and 1 connecting branch) under the Tran Hung Dao bridge construction investment project; Investment project to build underpasses at Co Linh intersection, Long Bien ward; Investment project to build Thuong Cat bridge and road at both ends of the bridge; Investment project to build parks on both sides of To Lich river.
Regarding the investment project to build a park on both sides of the To Lich River, in early March, the Office of the Hanoi People's Committee issued a notice of the conclusion of Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, at a meeting to listen to a report on the design plan to renovate the To Lich River of a private enterprise.
At that time, Hanoi requested more detailed research on the embankments on both sides of the river (which areas can be expanded, which areas cannot) to create space with many landscapes that both allow the expansion of the To Lich River water surface, and at the same time create land funds for the development of public service works.
The Hanoi Department of Finance is assigned to study the implementation mechanism for the To Lich River renovation plan (in the direction of applying the BT form) to advise, propose, and report to the City People's Committee for consideration and direction.
On September 9, water from West Lake was officially added to To Lich River. It is expected that before September 20, the wastewater treatment plant from Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant will also be replenished to revive this river.
According to the Hanoi Agricultural and Technical Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, all 245 wastewater discharge gates on the To Lich River have been thoroughly collected to the Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant.
This plant has increased capacity according to the process and is being treated at a capacity of about 200,000-230,000m3/day and night, ensuring the treatment of all wastewater along the To Lich River.
For the renovation of both sides of To Lich River, the Hanoi Agricultural Board has completed 19 locations on the sections from Cau Giay to Hoa Cuc Bridge (Lang Ha - Le Van Luong road) within the handover scope and has invited the parties to inspect the handover.
