Meanwhile, "Mickey 17" is director Bong Joon Ho's first film after 6 years since the resounding success of "Parasite" - the film won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2019 and 4 Oscars (Best Film, Best Director, Best International Feature Film, Best Original Screenplay) in 2020.
This is a science fiction film, based on the novel "Mickey 7" by author Edward Ashton. Robert Pattinson plays the main role as space explorer Mickey Barnes, who is "resurrected" after his death.
Director Bong Joon Ho's $150 million project also stars Toni Collette, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun and Mark Ruffalo.

“Mickey 17” was originally scheduled to be released in March 2024. But due to the impact of the Hollywood strike, Warner Bros. moved the film’s release date to February 2025.
“Mickey 17” was invited to screen in the special section of the Berlin International Film Festival, which will take place from February 13-23, as a non-competitive film.
The film is scheduled to be released in South Korea on February 28, followed by a global release.
